Indian Moms and Their Magical Ability to Find Things You Just Lost

There are two types of people in this world: the ones who can find their things, and the rest of us… who lose everything the second it leaves our hands. And then there are Indian moms, who belong to an entirely different species altogether.

I swear, my mom has some sixth sense. I can spend 30 minutes tearing the whole house apart looking for a hair tie, my charger, or that one kurti I know I kept on the bed yesterday. But the moment she walks in, it magically appears right in front of my face. And the worst part? She doesn’t even have to look properly. One glance, one sigh, and suddenly she’s holding it up like some magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

It’s not just about finding things, it’s the sass that comes with it. Every Indian kid knows the pressure of this one line. Because deep down we know… she will find it. And she will rub it in. And honestly, we deserve it.

At this point, I’ve stopped questioning it. Maybe moms really do have a built-in GPS for our things. Or maybe they just know us too well. Either way, if Sherlock Holmes had an Indian mom, every mystery would’ve been solved in five minutes flat.

So yeah, call it magic, superpower, or just pure mom-energy… but one thing’s for sure: if you’ve lost something, don’t stress. Just call your mom. She’ll find it before you even finish your sentence.
